Success Stories

With your help, H.O.P.E. for Animals is making a difference in countless animal lives.

Phoenix is a two year old pit bull that was abandoned when her owners moved away and left her behind in a garage. She was found by Richard Stolte, who is a one man pit bull rescue team. Even he felt overwhelmed by this one and gave us a call…

We got her to the vet to make sure her organs hadn’t shut down yet (so we could safely feed her) and found she weighed 19.2 lbs.! A healthy dog of her breed should weigh in between 44-60 lbs.

Phoenix hung on through the night and with a lot of TLC and some good groceries, she has pulled through. She still looks more like a greyhound then a pit bull, but she is up and around and her sores are healing. She loves everyone (especially her savior, Mr. Stolte) and she is running around with tail a waggin’….

And when she has recovered, we'll show you some photos of Phoenix fit and healthy. Come back soon for more photos.
